Red Dress: American Heart Association
Red Dress is a program offered by FIDM in collaboration with the
American Heart Association. In this program 8 students are chosen to
create a red dress with the mystery fabric(s) that are provided to us. This
year the fabrics were faux patent leather and mesh.
I handmade all 60 flowers that are on the dress. Each flower has 6
hand cut petals, and a Swarovski crystal in the middle.

Creating the Flowers and Testing the Placement
I handmade all 60 flowers that are on the dress. Each flower has 6 hand cut petals, and a Swarovski crystal in the middle. Below you can see all 6 pattern pieces used to create a single flower. I used fire to melt the edges and mold the petals to the desired shape.
